A Study on Cybersecurity News Coverage in Bangladeshi Newspapers

At the present world, people are more connected with cyber issues, emergence of cybersecurity has also become important in its users’ life either personal or official cases. Media a great role establishing by providing accurate and responsible information. This paper analyzed presentation cybersecurity-related news items photos Bangladeshi newspapers. All copies published during time frame October to December 2019 were selected for this study total 59 number collected analyzed. under different like hacking tracking, stealing passing information, information leaking, security cyberspace users, etc. explored types, photograph presentation, placement news, using sources. followed Gatekeeping Social Responsibility theories found that most is event-driven, have just been translated from foreign newspapers, especially Kaler Kantho lots without mentioning exact sources, investigative awareness-raising very poor which means these newspapers played little social responsibility role.
